# KOI 1 and KOI 2 Firmware Upgrades

### KOI (1 & 2) have separate firmware files, you need to download the correct one.

* Both KOI 1 and KOI 2 can be updated the same way, refer to the following article for more information.

### 💡KOI 1 upgrading to KOI2

KOI 1 users can get access to the improvements of the KOI 2 by updating the firmware to V4.

### <mark style="color:red;">**Attention!**</mark>

### <mark style="color:red;">**Remove the micro SD card from the KOI before updating.**</mark>

### <mark style="color:red;">**Files such as Image Classifier Models/photos can be stored on board instead of needing an SD card after updating to V4 model.**</mark>

#### V4 Firmware for KOI 1

This version is applicable to:

1. Upgrading Original KOI 1(Micro USB Port) to V4 firmware.
2. Periodic updates for KOI 1 that has been upgraded to V4 firmware.

## How to update KOI firmware

Use a USB cable to connect KOI to the computer.

Unzip the firmware files and open KOI\_Flasher.exe.

KOI will be updated automatically.

Do not unplug the USB cable or turn off the computer during the update process.

The update takes approximately 10 minutes, you can close the program after Rebooting is shown.

Reboot the KOI to see if it has been updated.
